MONROE COUNTY, MO. -- A Monroe County mining company is under investigation for violating the Missouri Clean Water Law.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources alleges the Joe Gilliam Mining Company's state permit expired in July of 2009, and the company has not filed for a new one.

DNR also claims the company did not turn in annual reports and fees.
