FT. MADISON, IOWA -- A Saturday afternoon fire in Ft. Madison injured one person trying to escape the blaze.

Crews were called to a duplex at 421 Avenue G just before noon. They were on scene for about two hours.

One resident escaped through a broken window with minor cuts to his arm.
