Roquette America would like to share the following statement concerning the February 21 & 22 negotiation sessions with BCTGM Local 48G:
Two additional days of negotiation sessions between Roquette America and BCTGM Local 48G have just been completed and both parties traded new proposals. The Company presented the union with a modification of our most recent proposal (from December 28), moving further toward the union’s positions. The Company is in agreement with the union on several important issues, such as the union’s proposal for health insurance benefits. Roquette America hopes that the union will now take the Company’s latest proposal back to their membership for ratification so that the lockout can end and our employees can return to work.
