UPDATED: March 7 at 3:15 p.m.

Police now say the vehicle was reported stolen. That report didn't come in until after the incident happened.

The crash on Kentucky Street between 8th and 7th Monday morning ended in two suspects running away from the scene.

The car, a 2000 Ford Taurus SE, was abandoned at the scene after the driver ran off the left side of the road over a curb and hit a utility pole.  It then continued and hit 720 Kentucky St. and knocked a metal hand railing off of the steps at that address.

Information from the Quincy Police Department is incomplete at this time.  They have based their information on eye witnesses who say they saw a male and a female jump out of the wrecked car and run away.

As a result of the crash, telephone lines were hanging, so crews were called in to do repairs.
