QUINCY, ILL -- Amy Smart has been selected as a United States Peace Corps volunteer.

Smart is a graduate of Brigham Young University and daughter of Ralph and Catherine Smart of Quincy.

She will serve two years in Botswana, Africa, beginning April 1, 2011.

She will work as a community health educator in Kanye, Botswana.
