MACOMB, ILL. -- It seems like a hard way to "make a dollar," but someone is passing fake one dollar bills around Macomb.

Macomb Police say a local gas station first reported the first fake bill last month. This past weekend a bar reported more than 40 fake bills.

Police say the colors are off and it feels noticeably different than a real one dollar bill.
