QUINCY, ILL. -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued a new statement regarding Quincy's proposed hydropower project.

Simply put, the commission asked for more time and won't say how much. Monday marked the 30-day deadline for which the commission had to respond to an appeal from the city of Quincy. Quincy has asked for a rehearing on the hydropower project.
