QUINCY, IL. -- Two new board members were sworn in Wednesday as part of the John Wood Community College Board of Trustees.

Larry Fischer and Dene Lambkin were sworn in at a special meeting Wednesday afternoon.

Reggie Coleman was also sworn in, but he's an existing board member.

We asked Dean Lambkin what some of the challenges will be for the new board.

Dene Lambkin says, "The challenge is the state funding and getting money to move forward with budgets and payrolls and just like any other business. I think that's our biggest concern and challenge is the funding."

Also at the meeting, two outgoing board members were recognized.

John McCarthy served on the board for 14 years, and Jerry Hagmeier served for six.
