QUINCY, ILL. -- A Culver-Stockton fraternity help the homeless Saturday night.

Members of Delta Upsilon and supporters were outside of the Wal-Mart in Quincy starting at 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

They will spend 24 hours collecting donations for Madonna House.

Even in the rain, they slept in tarp covered boxes.

Jeffery DeGraw says, "We chose to do it because it's a little outside the box. It's not your Relay or Red Cross or one of those big name things. Homeless is something people don't first think of when they think of charity events. They think of helping the homeless but it's not their very first one."

The fraternity and supporters have been doing this for more than twenty years.

They raised more than $400 last year, and hope to do better this year.
