QUINCY, ILL. -- Quincy's Midsummer Arts Faire wrapped up Sunday afternoon with high praises.

Thousands of visitors from around the area came to shop around Washington park while enjoying good food and free activities.

The centerpiece of the fair was the juried art competition and display of 47 artists' works throughout the park.

Organizers say this year's crowds were some of the best they've seen in years.
