QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Salvation Army got a big boost today in its efforts to build the Salvation Army Shelter and Family Service Building Campaign .
The Arthur and Lee Lindsay Family donated $100,000 to build and renovate the Salvation Army's Shelter.
“My parents have always supported The Salvation Army ministry. Our family, recognizing the great need for a new shelter, is thrilled to contribute to such a worthy cause! We have great respect for the life changing work done through The Salvation Army, and for the ‘hand up’ they provide for God’s children in need,” stated Lee Lindsay Curtis.
Major Dan Jennings said, “Because of the overwhelming generosity of outstanding individuals, like the Lindsay Family, The Salvation Army is able to provide continued and improved services to those who suffer hardships and challenges. We simply would not be able to do what we do at the level we do it without gifts like this one. We are humbled by the confidence that has been placed in The Salvation Army by this gift.”
You'll recall the Salvation Army raised more than $25,000 during a recent Christmas in July Campaign.
