TRI-STATE AREA -- The weekend weather forecast features a split-personality – very warm and windy on Saturday; much cooler with less wind for Sunday.
Use quite a bit of caution early this weekend for any activity that involves an open flame – cigarettes, bon fires, grills, fireworks, and et cetera. Low humidity and windy, mild weather on Saturday will be sufficient in creating a higher-than-normal grass-fire threat.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy, and southerly winds of at least 15 to 30 miles per hour will continue. There is small chance that a few rain showers may form in the afternoon and evening. You may want to keep these wind and rain prospects in mind as you’re planning projects. The great thing about Saturday is that afternoon temperatures will reach into the 60s!
Saturday night may bring a rain shower early in the night, otherwise we’ll have a mainly cloudy sky and late-night lows in the 30s.
On Sunday, you’ll notice partly sunny conditions and that the mild air has really faded away. Highs will be much less ambitious – only aiming for the lower to middle 40s. Temperatures will fall into the 30s under a mostly cloudy sky on Sunday night.
