Another chance of “light snow” is in the forecast for the Tri-State area Thursday night.

With temperatures still in the mid 30's this light snow for the evening will start off as some rain/sleet in the western part of the Tri-State area.  We will all see some winter weather.

Again, this is not a major weather maker with tons of moisture, but with temps right around the freezing mark it could make for some tricky travel.  When we talk about winter weather makers the kind that really pack a punch are normally the type that form to our south and move in from areas like “the four corners region.”  These systems have a connection to gulf moisture or at least a southern fuel of moisture, thus making them more likely to produce greater amounts of snow in the Midwest.

I will have the very latest Thursday night at 5, 6 & 10 on KHQA News and here on our Facebook page and our website.
