CARTHAGE, ILL. -- The son of a former Tri-state resident is a rising star...with a debut on an ABC prime time series.

According to the Keokuk Daily Gate City, 15 year-old Cameron Boyer from Manhattan Beach, California will appear on the ABC series, Body of Proof  January 10.

He's the son of Alfred Boyer, a graduate of Carthage High School and Western Illinois University.

Cameron will play a young singing artist in the show.

That's not too much of a stretch as Boyer leads a real life rock band, "One Youth."
