LIBERTY, ILL. -- A local cub scout troop wants to help those people who lost everything in a Hamilton fire last week.

Three scouts with the Tiger Cub Scouts Pack #58 out of Liberty are on a mission to pack a truck full of donations.

KHQA's Rajah Maples visited them to learn more about their endeavors and how you can help.

8-year-old Peyton Gregory, 7-year-old E.T. Griffith and 6-year-old Tyler Gregory of Liberty are accepting donations for the eight families displaced by this fatal fire in Hamilton.

They said, "We're going to help people out. They lost everything."

Have you ever done anything like this before?

They answered, "we can give them money because if they burnt their money, we can give them new money, but give them a lot. It was very sad that they got hurt. We can help them find new clothes."

The families need everything from clothing to bed linens and more.[

Drop-off locations for this particular "Pack the Truck" project are at Lierly Tire, Elliott Publishing and the Liberty Christian Church, all in Liberty.

You can find a complete list of items needed for the Hamilton fire victims by clicking here.

Monetary donations will be given to Marine Bank and Trust in Hamilton.
