A Curryville man accused of firing a gun at three people last weekend is free.
A judge on Wednesday released 32-year-old Richard R. Jenkins on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond. Terms include provisions that the suspect live with his parents and have no contact with the alleged victims.
Jenkins is accused of discharging a firearm at three juveniles, who claim they were in a neighbor’s yard January 14th when Jenkins fired at them.
Authorities said Jenkins initially denied knowing about gunshots, but later allegedly said he fired a handgun to get three people who refused to leave his yard to move on. Jenkins claimed he feared for his safety, investigators said.
He had been in jail on $50,000 cash-only bond. A court appearance is set for Feb. 22.
