An organization trying to save the July 4 fireworks celebration in Hannibal has reached its fundraising goal.

The Hannibal Community Promotions Group met its May 15 deadline for raising $15,000 to cover the cost of this year’s July 4 fireworks show at National Tom Sawyer Days.

The group was organized after the Hannibal Jaycees announced they would no longer coordinate the fireworks show.
