QUINCY, ILL. -- A spoonful of sugar and then some is on the way to Quincy's downtown business district.

Looking through the glass at 512 Hampshire, you'll find a new restaurant and bakery called Krazy Cakes. The new business is set to open Monday. Its owners hosted an open house Friday night to give area residents a special taste of what it has to offer.

Amber Lynn Martin said she got the idea to open Krazy Cakes with her husband after searching for a specific cake for her child's birthday a few years ago.

Two other new businesses have opened on Hampshire Street in Quincy. They are an art gallery and photography studio called Kaufman Wood Studios and Anticipation, which is a maternity clothing store.
