Man shot dead after car crash in Rockford

ROCKFORD, ILL. (AP) -- Police are investigating Rockford's first homicide of 2008.
Deputy Police Chief Greg Lindmark says 24-year-old Jermaine Malone was in a vehicle that collided with another car Tuesday.
Malone was shot after the crash and died at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Police officials aren't releasing further details about the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
