QUINCY, ILL. -- A Chicago area man is in the Adams County Jail on charges of indecent solicitation of a child.

Monday night, Quincy police were called to a home on South 7th Street for a report that the man had asked an eight-year-old girl to touch him sexually.

The man is 18-year-old Shaquille Phillips of Evergreen Park, Ill.

The child was not physically harmed.
