DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Iowa's largest home builder is cutting 26 jobs.

The announcement from Regency Homes, which is based in West Des Moines, comes during a housing industry slump.

Harold Brandt is chief restructuring officer. He says the cuts range from clerical staff to supervisors. He says a review of all operations prompted the move.

The company builds and manages apartments and operates a commercial construction business. Brandt says it seems the home division was hit the hardest.

Company officials say they expect to sell around 550 homes this year, that's 43 percent fewer than they did three years ago.
