Student Athletes of the Week

KHQA, Chris Duerr, Cell Tech Electronics, Subway and Peters Heating and Air Conditioning are proud to once again bring you Student Athlete of the Week! This program recognizes Tri-State area high school seniors who excel both on and off the field.

Student Athletes are recommended by their Athletic Director, principal or coach, and must be in good academic standing. Nominees should have a minimum 3.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale, and must be a participant of an IHSA, IAHSAA or MSHSAA recognized sport. Student Athletes are then chosen by an independent Student Athlete Review Board.

The KHQA - Cell Tech, Subway and Peters Heating and Air Conditioning Student Athlete of the Week is featured each Wednesday on KHQA’s Evening News at 6:00 p.m. throughout the school year.

Each Student Athlete will be honored at a banquet in June. Parents and the coach of the Student Athlete may also be present. At the banquet we will be presenting two awards, one male and one female, as the KHQA - Student Athlete of the Year. Each will also receive a monetary scholarship award.
