Welcome to the 2012 KHQA Do or Die Bowl Website

Welcome to the Eight Annual DO or DIE BOWL. This game has served as a spotlight event for Tri State Prep Football, gathering the best seniors from both East and West of the Mississippi River for one last high school gridiron hurrah! For some, this game will be a stepping stone into a college career. For others, the Do or Die Bowl will mark the last time in their lives they ever strap on a helmet and play the game. More than that, however, this contest serves as a celebration of the sport itself...the young men who play it, and the coaches who groom them through sport to be successful members of society beyond the gridiron.

The 8th Annual Do or Die Bowl will be staged Friday, June 29th on the turf at Flinn Stadium in Quincy . In keeping with the college theme, game time will have a traditional 1:00 p.m. Saturday start. Central Southeastern's Bill Reed will coach the East Squad, comprised of the best Senior Players in the Land of Lincoln. Monroe City's Tony DeGrave has been chosen to coach the premier senior stars from Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa.

The game itself, a true labor of love, owes its success to many people. First and foremost: our sponsors, most particularly REFRESHMENT SERVICES PEPSI, who has been with us since the inception of this contest. We thank all involved for their selfless patronage of high school sports. which allows the next generation of Tri State Doctors, Lawyers, Businessmen, Co-Workers and Neighbors a running head start into adulthood. Without them, this endeavor would never have come to fruition. Also, my eternal thanks to the army of volunteers (referees, ground crew, chain gang, public address announcers, ticket takers) who do all the leg work to make this game come off so well. And as well to all our friends in the media for giving these kids the spotlight they richly deserve. Most important of all, our thanks to the players, coaches and fans who fight so hard to keep High School Football so vibrant in the Tri States...in this game and beyond.
