Marla Willard has put the Pittsfield Lady Saukees in favorable position in the opening weeks of the season.

Three weeks into the high school hardwood season, and the ranks of the basketball unbeatens have effectively shrunk. Yet, one area squad is still perfect despite playing nearly ten games in twenty days, with one of its nine wins coming in the waning seconds over a state ranked power in Winchester West Central.
Pittsfield's 9-0 start is certainly thanks in no small measure to the buzzer beating skills of one Marla Willard.
