Herb Donaldson Signed by Dallas Cowboys
Former Leatherneck All-America joins practice squad

DALLAS, Texas – Former Western Illinois All-American running back Herb Donaldson was signed by the Dallas Cowboys to the practice squad. The announcement came Monday (Dec. 21).

Donaldson, who signed with the New Orleans Saints this year but was recently cut, joins former teammate Jason Williams on a Cowboys team trying to clinch a spot in the playoffs.

A three-time All-American, Donaldson finished his Western career as the program’s all-time leading rusher with 4,766 yards. He also holds career records in touchdowns (50), yards per carry (5.7), 100-yard games (23) and 200-yard games (7).
