SIOUX FALLS, SD -- The Western Illinois University Leathernecks put forth a valiant effort in Tuesday's 2012 Summit League Tournament Championship.

The Leathernecks lost to South Dakota State 52 to 50 in overtime.

The stakes were high as the winning team now has a ticket into the NCAA Tournament.

The game was televised on ESPN2.
