HANNIBAL, MO. -- After being the owner of the old Murphy Motors building on North Main Street in Hannibal for only a few weeks, the city has decided to sell the building to two men who have plans to develop the property on a commercial level.

The Hannibal City Council has been reviewing plans that have been submitted on the old building.

The city bought the property last fall.

The idea was to have interested parties come forward with plans to convert the old building into a viable business that would compliment the historic district.

The council was expected to approve the sale and the plans for the property Wednesday night.
