Adam Ellyson has spent over half of his life seeing things differently

At the age of 8, South Shelby's Adam Ellyson experienced what can be a career-ending injury for some. The Cardinal junior lost his right eye as a result of a BB gun accident, meaning the way he learned to play the sports he loved would be drastically different. But Adam didn't let the incident slow him down, as he has ascended to the role of consistent contributor for South Shelby athletics. As both a wide receiver and defensive back on the football field and a point guard on the basketball floor, Adam has found his own way of doing things - and become very valuable to his teams in the process.
