FORT MADISON, IOWA -- A mobile home fire on the 3900 block of Bluff Road left a Fort Madison couple without a home Friday afternoon.

Fort Madison Fire Chief Joey Herren says firefighters were called to the fire at the Aztec Mobile Home park at around 6 p.m. on Friday. Herren said neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion. The fire was contained within 20 minutes.

Herren said the house is a total loss. Fortunately, the two occupants inside the home were not injured.

The fire remains under investigation. KHQA will bring you more details as they are released.
