The Hannibal History Museum is moving to a new home soon.

The move will come on the third year of the History Museum, a non-profit organization started by Ken and Lisa Marks.

Lisa Marks says that the response to the museum has been great and that is, at least in part, why this move is going to happen.

The new home of the Hannibal History Museum, 200 North Main Street is the former site of The Molly Brown Dinner Theater and most recently Breadeaux Pizza.

They plan to celebrate with a Grand Re-Opening on Friday, March 15th in conjunction with their St. Patrick's Day Irish Shindig.

The Museum will be open during the transition in their current location at 217 North Main, throughout February.

"Volunteers are desperately needed. We'll need help with constructing the new exhibits, painting, moving artifacts, etc. We would also welcome any donations of 2x4s, drywall, painting supplies, flooring materials -- all would be welcome! If you can help, please call (573) 248-1819. All donations of cash and materials are tax deductible," Lisa Marks said.
