LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) — Olympic bobsled hopeful Todd Hays intends to be racing again in two weeks after recovering from a strained left hamstring.

Hays said Thursday that he is getting treated by a physical therapist in his native Texas, and has targeted an America's Cup race in Park City, Utah, for his return next month.

Hays said the treatment "seems to be working very well," so far.

He is coming off a silver medal in last weekend's two-man World Cup opener in Park City, and was leading the four-man competition there when he sustained the minor strain.

Hays will miss this weekend's World Cup stop in Lake Placid.
