HANNIBAL'S ZACH NICHOLS SIGNS WITH SOUTHEASTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Still rehabbing from a series of nasty leg injuries suffered during the football season, Hannibal's Zach Nichols opted for the security of a baseball recruiting deal in hand; rather than take his chances in the Spring.
KHQA has confirmed that Nichols has signed to play JUCO ball at Southeastern Community College.
The Pirate Catcher was an honorable mention All State selection as a junior and was listed as a prospect to watch on the ESPN Rise All Metro St Louis team. He is also a three year first team All KHQA Do or Die Selection.
Zach's father Matt tells KHQA that his son's injury rehab is going according to schedule and that he has already been in the batting cage this winter trying to get his swing and his timing down.
