TORI NIEMANN BOUND FOR MIZZOU AS A PREFERRED WALK-ON
The 2009 KHQA Basketball Player of the Year, Canton's Tori Niemann, is taking the road less traveled in her college career, eschewing scholarship offers to walk on next year at the University of Missouri.
Tori tells KHQA that she was an invited walk-on at Mizzou and has a legitimate chance to earn a scholarship opportunity down the road.
As a senior, Tori averaged 23.2 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 3.5 spg, 3.0 apg, and 2.2 bpg while leading her team to back to back Final Four appearances. She also helped lead the Canton Softball team to a Final Four appearance and is one of the finest long jumpers in the State of Missouri, not to mention a Straight A student and finalist for KHQA/ADVANCE Physical Therapy Female Student Athlete of the Year honors.
