After a state tournament appearance in 2009, the Lady Chiefs begin the postseason this weekend ready to give a better encore.
Keokuk will have its eyes on the prize this upcoming week.

After a stint at the state tournament last July, it is considered to be a pretty good encore performance for the Keokuk Lady Chiefs softball team in 2010 - so far. The girls began this year ranked third in the state, and have racked up a 29-8 record, beating more ranked teams in a season than ever before. The postseason begins on Saturday for the girls, who are happy with what they've accomplished, but also say they won't be satisfied until they get back to Fort Dodge.
