The Canton graduate has been placed on full scholarship for the Mizzou Women's basketball team.

The goal of every athlete who walks on for a sport at a Division One campus is to buck the odds, prove your worth, and earn a scholarship from the school.

Few have ever even accomplished that goal, and even fewer have done it quicker than Canton's Tori Niemann.

The 2009 KHQA Basketball Player of the Year was called into the Mizzou Basketball coaching offices on Friday and told that her work this summer has been so impressive that the school has opted to pick up the tab for her entire education for the next four years, placing her on full scholarship.
