GOING LONERGAN: QUINCY UNIVERSITY INKS ALL STATE QUARTERBACK TO HELM THE FUTURE
During his stellar two year career as the starting quarterback at Jacksonville, Nick Lonergan re-wrote much of the Central State Eight record book with his passing prowess.
Quincy University coach Bill Terlisner is banking the Crimson All Stater will do the same with the Hawks in a couple of years, grooming Lonergan to succeded fellow CS8 alum Bobby Brenneisen after an expected redshirt 2011 season.
For a program in need of a serious public relations boost, the signing today of a high profile local All Stater was a tremendous boon and the start of rich talent plunder by lead recruiter Billy Riebock in the Central State Eight that also includes Rochester Linebacker Dan Camp and SHG All State Wide Receiver Jerrod Sargent.
