J.D. Gravina steps in at WIU, Mike Elbe steps down from John Wood. At the high school level, Adam Rung is the new Clark County boys basketball coach, and Angie Resa will take over South Shelby softball.

A slow Friday turned into a busy end of the week for several tri-state area coaches. Quincy University women's basketball coach of the past four seasons J.D. Gravina will step down from his post with the Lady Hawks to move up to the Division I level and take over the Western Illinois Women's basketball squad.

Elsewhere, John Wood men's coach Mike Elbe ended his second stint as skipper, resigning from his post. Longtime assistant Brad Hoyt is expected to take over.
