The multi-sport stars are KHQA's annual scholarship winners.
Each week during the school year KHQA and Dene Lambkin Honda/Hyundai bring you our Student Athlete of the Week - one high school senior who excels on the court, track or field and has a GPA of 3.5 or better. At the end of the year, both a male and female student athlete will be awarded with a scholarship to contribute to their future at the collegiate level.
KHQA's 2011 female student athlete of the year award goes to Payson/Seymour's Dakota Flesner, who will go to Kishwaukee Community College to play both volleyball and basketball. Our male student athlete of the year award goes to Camp Point Central's Jacob Conley, who has accepted an appointment to West Point Academy where he will join the United States Army.
