From the mid-80's to the new century, the Carthage staple has been a familiar face on the Illini West sidelines.

25 seasons and six championships seemed to be enough for Jim Unruh. The Illini West football coach is hanging it up, and going out a champion after taking the Chargers to the Class 3A state title last November. And after 25 years of service to high school football, a lot has changed since he first took over.
