Bill Connell finally gets his wish. Raiders will play a "local" football schedule effective 2013
QUINCY NOTRE DAME FORMALLY ACCEPTS WEST CENTRAL CONFERENCE FOOTBALL INVITATION
For more than a decade and a half, Bill Connell has made every conceivable pitch to get his QND Football team a more favorable, more local football schedule by way of joining the West Central Conference.
His every overture to every incarnation of the WCC (be it West Central or West Prairie Trails megaconference) was ultimately rebuffed.
On Wednesday, that dynamic finally changed when the five holdover members of the WCC voted unanimously to welcome QND, Chillicothe IVC, and Canton into the league, effective 2013.
The only surprise on QND's end, that it took a full 20 hours for the Raiders to formally accept a deal that QND's Coach/Athletic Director never thought we would live to see.
