Great athletic pedigree may have helped, but Lady Hawk Pivot Linsay Henke's rise is a tribute to hard work, finding the right home

THE CLOSER: LINSAY HENKE'S COMFORT LEVEL AT QU HAS BEEN DISQUIETING FOR LADY HAWK OPPONENTS

She's blocked 55 shots this season while committing just 33 total fouls.

Not exactly a common stat line for a player charged with being your last line of basketball defense.

To say Linsay Henke has had an impact in the middle for Quincy University is a major understatement. She has become a game changer in every sense of the word. And while she came to the table with great athletic bloodlines (the daughter of successful former Major League Reliever Tom Henke) it has been Linsay's tireless work and acclimation to her new home in the Gem City that has fueled her rise.
