Former Canton star, 2009 KHQA Player of the Year likely to land at another Division One School
TORI NIEMANN SET TO LEAVE MIZZOU, MULLING NEW DIVISION ONE OPTIONS
She scored her first career collegiate points against Tennessee, the most storied program in Womens College Basketball....and showed all kinds of promise in her first two years at Mizzou.
But Tori Niemann is looking for a fresh start.
The Canton product and 2009 KHQA Player of the Year has announced her transfer, along with two other sophomores on the current Tiger roster.
No word yet on Tori's next landing spot but a source tells KHQA that she will almost assuredly resume her career at a Division One Program; which means she will have to sit out next season.
That established, Tori is recovering from shoulder surgery and was expected to spend the next 4-6 months working back from the labrum repair anyway.
From all we've gathered, Tori could make her final decision inside of 10 days. And I spoke with a source today who feels after making initial inquiries as to Tori's future plans that the ex-Canton star might well be earmarked to rejoin her high school coach Seth Minter at Western Illinois; but that again was just one college basketball insider's speculative take.
