WICHITA, KAN. (AP) -- Osiris Eldridge scored 11 points as Illinois State beat Wichita State 49-46  Tuesday night.

Emmanuel Holloway and Boo Richardson scored 10 points each for Illinois State, which improved to 10-3 overall, 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Wichita State dropped to 7-6 and 0-2. The Shockers were led by 16 points each from P.J. Couisnard and Phil Thomasson.

The Shockers led 24-23 at halftime, but Illinois State took control early in the second half with a 12-0 run.

The Shockers played without starting point guard Matt Braeuer, who suffered a concussion on Saturday, and forward Ramon Clemente, who has a fractured finger.
