Knox County claims its first district title since 1983

When the Knox County Lady Eagles fell behind early against Scotland County in the district championship game, they made a point to avoid repeating history. After coming up short on the same stage the previous 2 years, Knox found a way to earn what they had so nearly claimed in the past. And to do so after a 29-year drought made it all the more memorable.
