Sean Taylor's Blue Devils looking to balance back court experience with young post

Just two days away from the beginning of the QHS Thanksgiving Tournament, Sean Taylor's Blue Devils are looking for a return to the top of the Western Big Six standings. But to win the title (or share it again, like they did it 2011), the Devils will have to work around the graduation losses of DeAngelo Dean and Mike Davis in the front court. QHS brings in plenty of size in Jason Salrin, Luka Radovic, Barnell Thomas, and QND-transfer Connor Mellon, but the goal is to cultivate their raw talent into success. Helping to offset the issue is the fact that the Devils' trio of Martin Kvitle, Cole Abbey, and Mason Fairley all played significant minutes at guard in their junior years. The team is guard-oriented, most definitely, and the ability to find a rotation of bigs that clicks among that back court experience is key to early success.
