DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Iowa State hosts Missouri Wednesday in Hilton Coliseum, hoping to even its conference record.
The Cyclones (10-6, 0-1 Big 12) lost their Big 12 opener to Baylor last week, but freshman Craig Brackins gave everyone a good show by hitting eight 3s and scoring 33 points.
Meanwhile, Missouri (11-5, 1-0) comes in after playing a tough non-conference schedule. Missouri has beaten Maryland and Purdue, and the Tigers stunned Texas last week in their Big 12 opener.
Redshirt junior DeMarre Carroll, a transfer from Vanderbilt, has given the Tigers some added punch in the paint. He leads the team in scoring, 14.6 points per game, and rebounds, 6.8 per game.
Senior guard Stefhon Hannah, the 2007 Big 12 newcomer of the year, is shooting 41.6 percent from 3-point range and averages 14 points a game.
