KANSAS CITY, MO. (AP) -- The Kansas City Royals have named veteran executive Art Stewart to the team's hall of fame.
Stewart has served the Royals in a variety of ways in a 39-year career. The Royals say that Stewart will be inducted this season at a date to be determined.
Royals President Dan Glass says Stewart has devoted more than 50 years to the game of baseball, including the last 39 with the Royals organization.
Stewart has been senior adviser to the general manager since 1997 after serving as the director of scouting from 1984 to 1996.
