ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Brent Burns provided the game-winner for the second time in two days to lead Minnesota past St. Louis 2-1 in a shootout.

Burns tallied in the sixth shootout round, one game after scoring the overtime goal in the Wild's 4-3 win over the New York Islanders. Pavol Demitra also had a shootout goal for the Wild.

Marion Gaborik's 29th goal of the season put the Wild ahead 1-0 at 5:21 of the first period. Paul Kariya knotted the score on a power play later in the period.

The Wild had killed 30 consecutive power plays over nine games before Kariya's goal.

Josh Harding turned back 20 shots during the game before stopping five of the Blues' six shootout attempts.

The Blues have won just two of their last 13 games.
