MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Trent Meacham scored 19 points as Illinois continued its dominance of Minnesota with an 84-60 victory.
Illinois has now won 18 straight games over the Gophers. That's the longest active streak in the Big Ten. It was just the third Big Ten win of the season for the Illini.
The Gophers made just two of their first 16 shots to start the second half. They have now lost four conference games at home and will almost certainly have to win the Big Ten tournament in order to make the NCAA tournament in March.
