Teams face off in Champaign on Saturday
CHAMPAIGN, ILL. (AP) -- A pair of teams looking to revive disappointing seasons will take the field Saturday night in Champaign.
At 3-3 and 1-2 in the Big Ten, the Illini have an outside chance at the Big Ten title they entered the season thinking about.
And Indiana, which is 2-4 and winless in the conference, now has only faint hope of reaching a bowl game for the second straight year.
Illinois coach Ron Zook is warning his team that Indiana will give the Illini a tough game. He sounded the alarm last week about Minnesota, before Golden Gophers upset the Illini, 27-20.
Indiana coach Bill Lynch says that, at this point, every game has become a big one for the Hoosiers. The trouble this week, according to Lynch, is that quarterback Kellen Lewis may not play. He has an ankle injury.
